I like the silhouetted figures, but I don’t think the effect works as well for the car; it took a moment for me to recognize what it was. Kenneth Newquist´s last blog …Gamer Traveler: Games & Travel Blog Carnival Roundup
What if you carried the ‘cut-out’ effect from the headlight to the windows of the car. Would that make it easier to read? The only other thing that jumps out at me is the ultra white of the negative space between the woman’s arm and her body. I like the colors and think its overall very eye-catching and ‘mod’. I think the car would look better if the band effect was behind it… I’m also not sure about the blank white between the woman’s body and arm. I presume that’s an artifact of the process that creates the band, but it kind of makes it look like a sloppy photoshop cut and paste. Joshua Macy´s last blog …Kapow! Preludes and Knockouts
@Joshua I see what you mean about the white-out. It’s an unfortunate by-product of the girl being just where a whitespot in the background happens to be, but I agree, it does look odd.
Uncle Bear, if you want me to fix this (and perhaps make the car stand out more), I’ll be happy to do so. It is, as ever, your call.
The car looks like a blob. Identifiable or not. Blob.
The female silouette has those blotch of white under her arms that look to me of the remnants of a cut and paste from photoshop that wasn’t completed.
The male figure looks like a bald manikin.
And the colors just don’t feel right to me. I can’t put my finger on it, but I dunno… Maybe that make me think of fruit? Rather than gold digits, thunderous spheres, negative doctors, and so forth?
Sorry, Wulf. I dug the Toybox cover, but this one is not up to your usual standards.
I’m guessing the goal here was something of a… ahem… “cinematic opening credits animation” look? And I think there might be too much going on. I would love to see it with some mock up trade dress even if it isn’t the final font choice. Dr. Checkmate´s last blog …This is a crunchless vanity post
