Captain America
is the only Avenger
that fell in the pit.

(Marvel Superhero RPG: the heroes are in a hallway in Ultron’s or Doctor Doom’s or Hydra’s fortress when a pit opens up in the floor. Captain America, who doesn’t fall in pits, is the only one that did according to the dice. Never played that game again.)

Two minutes of game
time took two hours to run.
Worse than D&D.

(Champions 2nd? 3rd? Big fight at the mall, half of the heroes were two minutes away from the action, so they’re racing over. We got about two hours into the combat and the still didn’t arrive on scene. Never played that game again.)

Most of the fun was in
character creation. The game
itself? Gathering dust.

CAPES is supposed to

(I played CAPES a while back. It looks like it should be fun but felt so much like not a superhero game with a veneer of comicness. Totally not the superhero game for me.)
